Seaside Landscaping is owned and operated by Dylan Lippold, who has spent more than 20 years working in landscape construction and excavation throughout Southern Maine.
Dylan grew up in Portland and got his start in construction at 17, working as a laborer on a local project. While on the job, he found himself drawn to the masonry work – learning directly from experienced bricklayers who took the time to show him the craft during lunchtime. That early hands-on experience set the direction for everything that followed.
From there, he continued working in the field through college, taking a job with the campus grounds crew and gaining experience that closely mirrors some of the work he does today. After graduating with a business degree, he spent a short time working for another landscaping company before deciding, at 23, to go out on his own.
Seaside Landscaping has been built from the ground up ever since.
Dylan runs Seaside Landscaping as a hands-on operation.
He’s on the job, involved in the work, and directly engaged in the decisions that shape each project. For larger jobs, he brings in trusted subcontractors and trades as needed – managing projects much like a general contractor while staying closely connected to the work itself.
He’s not the kind of contractor who runs projects from a distance. He prefers being on site, solving problems, and making sure things are done the right way. That approach keeps communication clear, decisions efficient, and the quality of the work consistent from start to finish.

Dylan lives in Gorham and has spent his life in Southern Maine. While his family is originally from Western New York, this is where he’s built his business and his reputation, and now his home. When he’s not working on a project, he’s usually still working on one – often putting the same time and effort into his own property.
